Michigan on Wednesday reported an average of 1,496 daily Covid cases for the past week and a total of 78 deaths during the seven days.
In all, the state recorded 10,474 new cases for the week.
Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties are listed as having a low level of community cases.
To date, the state has reported 2.4 million probable and confirmed cases and 35,935 deaths.
The numbers of cases confirmed for the state doesn't include many people who've tested positive with rapid home tests. It does include over 1.4 people who recovered from Covid as of Jan. 20, when the Department of Health and Human Services stopped keeping track of that.
